The given graph illustrates the cost of four types of bread namely: wholegrain, brown, white and rye calculated by dollar for the five years, between 2001 and 2005.
Overall, it is clear that wholegrain bread witnessed a significant decrease in cost throughout the timeframe while the opposite was true for white bread-with a stable costing increase. In addition, there was a huge gap between the cost of rye and brown bread.
In terms of wholegrain bread’s price, it peaked the highest with 1,8 dollars in the year 2002 while it started with only 0,8 dollars one year ago. In the next two years, the price of that bread decreased significantly to 0,7 dollars in 2004 and witnessed a slight rise in the next year 2005, recorded at 0,8 dollars. However, the cost trend of white bread saw a stable increase; from 0,6 to 1,3 dollars during five years given.
Regarding the cost of brown bread, it started with 0,6 dollars in 2001 and was recorded at 1,5 dollars in the next year, it also doubled in cost. During the next four years, it fluctuated and ended at 1.6 dollars in 2005, almost the highest price of its in the timeline. The starting point of rye bread’s cost was the same as the brown ones, at 0,6 dollars; however, it had a slight drop in 2002 with 0,53 dollars. The rye bread’s price remained unchanged from 2003 to 2004 and grew slightly at 0,7 dollars in the end of the timeframe, the year 2005.
