The bar chart illustrates engagement of students in three distinct physical activities namely: cricket, football and basketball in a school, with units expressed as percentage.
Overall, the chart indicates that the students’ involvement in cricket decreased steadily with grades whereas, it resurged in basketball and football. The major percentage of children in each class opted for cricket while the remaining tutees chose football and basketball.
More than half of Class vii students at 55% participated in cricket while nearly quarter percentage of pupils from the same grade participated in soccer and basketball. Number of students took part in cricket was higher in grade vii than grade ix and x. By contrast, class vii had the least number of students’ participation in basketball among other classes.
Furthermore, slightly lower than half of grade ix and grade x took part in cricket, while just over quarter number of tutees involved with other sports namely: football and basketball. Under graduates from grade x had higher number of students participating in soccer and basketball, 32% and 28% respectively. In general, the students across the grades represent a dynamic predisposition towards the sports.
