The bar chart illustrates the comparsion of student involvement in three sports, namely soccer, cricket, and basketball, in a school based on which grades they are studying in. The data is measured in percentages.
Overall, it is readily apparent that soccer consistently recorded the highest figures, whereas basketball remained the least significant. Additionally, all three sports exhibited fluctuation, albeit at varying rates.
To begin with, soccar started at 25% for class VIII, after which it rose sharply to reach 30% for class IX. This upward trend continued, as the figure peaked at roughly 32% for class X. A similar pattern can be observed in basketball, which commenced at 20% for class VIII and subsequently experienced a steady upward trend, peaking at 25% for class IX and 28% for class X. In contrast, cricket demonstrated a markedly different trajectory, initially standing at 55% before undergoing a significant dip, eventually culminating at 45% for class IX and 40% for class X. This indicates a moderate change compared to the other sports.
Looking more closely at the comparative figures, it is evident that the gap between soccar and basketball narrowed over time. Soccar had surpassed baskeball, highlighting a marginal disparity. Meanwhile, cricket, despite starting at a relatively high point, caugh up with the other two sports. Interestingly, there was a noticeable convergence among the three sports suggesting a shift in overall trends.
