Overall, carbon emissions from gas increased while carbon emissions from oil and coal decreased.
The amount of carbon emissions released from gas was just over 200 million tones in 1990 and it roles to 300 million tones in 2000. Then this moved to around 320 million tones in 2010.
The amount of carbon emissions released from oil went down around 270 million tones to around 240 tones in 1995 however it roles up to just over 250 million tones in 2000 but it dropped to just over 200 million tones in 2010. Meanwhile, coal significantly dropped from 310 million tones to 190 million tones over 2 decades.
