The bar chart illustrates the amount of carbon emissions that caused by oil, gas, and coal from 1990 to 2010 in every 5 years.
Overall, the figures of oil and coal decreased rapidly over the period, while gas showed a notable change with increasing gradually. In contrast, coal claimed the top spot of emission until gas takes its place.
In 1990, gas was modeled to amount to 220 million tons, followed by oil at 270 million tons. Starting with 310 mln tons, coal was the largest fossil fuel that caused carbon emission. By 1995, both coal and oil’s figures experienced a steady decline in order to 270 and 240 mln tons, while gas emissions saw a significant rise to about 200 mln.
In following years, the orders wasn’t changed that gas the first and the lowest one is coal. Notably, oil continued to decreasing to 210 mln tons in 2005 and coal showed substantial decline at approximately 170 mln tonnes. Carbon emission from gas was around 340 mln tonnes which makes it the highest fuel amount over the period.
