The data above depicts the comparison of unemployment trends in the US and Japan between March of 1993 and 1999.

Overall, the most noticable feature was the declining of jobless rate in the US annually that steadily decreasing. Meanwhile, Japan’s unemployment rate was incresing significantly throughout the year.

The number of jobless percentage in the US was start at 7.0 work force and constantly dropping, while in March of 1995 the data remain stable until the March of 1997 it was falling steadily then finished at approximately 4,2%.

On the other hand, in Japan, the number of unemployee individual was stood at low percentage in March of 1993. It increased stably for almost 1,5% back in March 1996 and keep rising until in March 1998 a sudden growth happen for the next following years and concluded that Japan’s jobless work force was around 4,7% in March of 1999, making it the highest peak at the whole data.
