The line graph given illustrates the percentage of oil consumption in four different countries namely Iceland, Sweden, Italy and Turkey from 1966 to 2006.
Overall, it is clear to see that the proportion of oil usage in Turkey experienced an upward trend, opposed to the figure for the three remaining countries. In addition, Iceland had the most modest oil consumed among four nations mentioned.
In 1966, the rate of oil used in Turkey hit the bottom at 60%, which was two-third compared with that of Italy, accounting for 90%, followed by two other countries are Sweden and Iceland at 80% and 70%, respectively. 20 decades later, the percentage of oil usage in Italy remained the same at 90%, which was threefold in comparison to the figure for Iceland, comprising 30%. Moreover, the rate of usage of oil in Turkey ascended considerably to almost 80%, meanwhile that of Sweden declined twice to 40% in 1986.
At the end of the timeline, 90% was the rate of oil used in both Turkey and Italy, which was more than three times of that in Sweden, making up for nearly 35%. It is further noticed that the share of oil used in Iceland hit a trough at 20% in 2006.
