The given line graph illustrates the data about weekly consumption of three different types of fast food (hamburgers, fish and chips and pizza) in the UK, between 1970 and 1990.
Overall, it can be seen that the consumption of pizza showed an upward trend at the beginning of a period, while the figure for hamburgers and fish and chips experienced a downward trend. However, at the end of the research, fish and chips and hamburgers were the most preferred fast food compared to pizza.
In 1970, pizza was the most popular choice, with consumption of 300 grams per week, while fish and chips were consumed in smaller quantities, at approximately 100 and 50 grams, respectively. Over the next decade both hamburgers and fish and chips saw a steady growth, reaching almost 80 and 150 grams in 1980, while the figure for pizza declined to 200 grams.
From 1980 onwards, the number of people who preferred fish and chips started to rise dramatically, reaching its highest peak at 500 grams in 1990. Meanwhile, the quantity of hamburgers consumed also rose sharply to 300 grams per week by the end of a period. In contrast, the plateau for pizza remained stable at 200 grams throughout the remaining period.
