The percentage of recycled waste in the UK and Germany experienced a gradual increase throughout the entire period, whereas there was a steady drop except the end of span in the recycling rates in France.
In 2005, meanwhile the recycling rate in the UK was around 20 per cent, the proportion in Germany differred by a small minority. The index in Germany rose moderately to nearly a third, while the percentage was observed at 40% in the following two years. However, the recycled rates in the UK was marginally higher than that in Germany was just under a half and 40 per cent respectively in 2011. In the final years, both proportion was increased slightly. While the recycling rates in the UK was more than half, that in Germany showed just over a half.
At the beginning of the period, the index in France was observed exactly a half. Nevertheless, it experienced an annually decline of 10%. Furthermore, the percentage of recycled waste showed a steep rise to 40% between 2013 and 2015.
