Overall, there was a consistent growth in the expenditure of cell phone services, on the contrary, the allocation of money to residential phone services steadily dwindled during the specified time frame. Moreover, exceptionally the quantity of money that was spent on both phone services was the same in 2006.
To begin with, the mean expenditure of cell phone services was at its lowest in 2001, at just over 200 dollars, before rising gradually by 2006, accounting for approximetaly 500 dollars in 2006. Subsequently, the average spending on cell phone services overtook the residential phone services’ expenditure, before peaking at over 700 dollars at the end of the period.
On the other hand, residential phones were overwhelmingly the most popular communication way in 2001, at almost 700 dollars. However, the financial burden of residential phone services declined throughout the period given, decreasing to around 400 dollars in 2010.
