The graph above shows the stock price of four technology companies between 2011 and 2016.
Among the four companies, Facebook’s stock price rose within this period while other 3 companies stock price’s faced downward trend except Google. Google’s stock price remained constant all around the period.
Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook had the same initial stock price as that of Yahoo which is nearly 8,000 USD. But over the time, Facebook had a smooth constant rate of increase in share price touching 20,000 in 2016. On the contrary, Yahoo’s stock price plummeted to about 2,000 in the year 2016 with a sudden drop in 2014. We see that the two companies were 18,000 USD apart in stock price at the end.
The scenario for Apple and Google is quite different. As we find that, Apple held preliminary stock price of about 5,000 USD but suddenly its stock value skyrocketed to around 35,000 USD in 2012 and then dropped to the nearest of the primary price in next year. Apple’s stock price followed a downtrend through a haphazard way. But Google is completely distinguishable as it had no change in stock price within this period.
