The libe graph illustrates the amount of energy generated by fossil fuel sourse in Europe from 1981 to 2001
Overall, it can be seen that fossil fuel sourses increased markebly across the period. Although, coal has seen a downward trends for the most years, the sharp rise in natural gas played a decisive role towards the end of the timeframe in pushing petroleum to the highest level.
At the beginning of period, petroleum stood at around 35 trillion, with approximately 5 quaters staying on the natural gas but decreasing in coal. Between 1981 to 1991, the petroleum climbed steadily to 40 trillion. This increase was the mainly result in natural gases, which rose to about 20 trillion, while coal figures seen a downward tendency.
After 1991, the pattern shifted noticeably. The number of natural gases rose substantially, climbing from 20 trillion in 1991 to 30 trillion in 2001. As a result of this increase, by 1996 coal had a decline suprassed that of natural gases. In contast, the natural gases steadily changed, reaching 30 trillion by 2011.
