The line graph compares the number of bears, dolphins, and whales in the wild.
Overall, bear populations witnessed an upward trend, while the number of dolphins declined. Whales, on the other hand, remained relatively stable. It is also evident that the number of bears was highest from 2020 to 2022.
In 2017, the number of dolphins was highest, at 150 million in the wild. This figure declined significantly to only 80 million one year later. From 2018 to 2019, there was another fall to more than 30 million in dolphin populations. In the following two years, this figure decreased significantly to only 1 million in 2022.
In contrast, bear populations rose significantly. The number of bears in the wild stood at only 10 million (the lowest figure in the chart). This figure, however, increased substantially to 120 million, and reached a high of 180 million in 2022. Finally, whale populations witnessed a significant fluctuation from 80 million to 100 million throughout the period.
