The line graph gives information about the number overseas visitors to European countries to three different areas – the coast, the mountains, and the lakes from 1987 to 2007.
Overall, it is clear that there was an upward trend in the number of travelers to all three areas. It is also worth mentioning that the coast accounted for the highest number of people throughout the whole period.
As for the coast, this area was attracted by the highest number of visitors from beginning till the end. Despite declining slightly from 40000 to about 35000 in 1992, visitors number to the coast rose gradually to over 75000 in 2007, making it the most favorable place. Initially, 20000 visitors came for the mountains, and after mild fluctuation between 20000 and 30000 from 1992 to 2002, the number of travelers rose negligibly to about 35000 in 2007. Starting at 10000 visitors in 1987, the number of visitors had increased steadily to even 75000 by 2002, but then declined significantly by 25000 in the end.
