The line graph depicts the figure of idividuals playing four different sports in a specificed area from 1985 to 2005
Overall, the initial impression we can see from the chart is that tennis tended to be the most preferred, therefore this sport witnessed the continuous upward trend, whilst rugby players reduced substantially and underwent the opposite trend. In the same vein, Basketball and badminton remained unchanged despite modest fluctuations in the early years.
In 1985, rugby was the most popular sport with nearly 250 participants. Tennis followed with 150, making it the second most popular sport. However, the number of people involved in rugby declined significantly in the following years and hit the lowest point of 50 in 2005. Interestingly, rugby was surpassed by tennis in 1995.
After 20 years, people had a tendency to take part in tennis instead of rugby as evidenced by increasing enormously and reaching a peak 220 in 2005
Basketball was the third preferred sport in provided region, this sport seemed to stay constant and varying slightly around 90 throughout the given years. The similar picture badminton, Badminton had a fairly consistent number of participants, remaining between 80 and 100 over the 20-year period, showing little variation.
