In contrast, by 2000, tennis participants climbed markedly to 200, peaking at around 230 in the final year.
The number of people engaging in badminton and basketball began at lower levels, at around 50 and approximately 80, respectively. In 1990, badminton experienced a minor dip in the number of people taking part in this sport, to just under 50, before stabilizing at the initial figure for the rest of the peiod. Meanwhile, between 1990 and 1995, basketball players increased gradually, from 80 to around just under 100, and then it remained static, at 90.
