The line graph depicts the changes in the number of people who participated in four different type of sports from 1985 to 2005.
Overall, the number of participants tennis grew noticeably over a 20-year period, while the opposite trend occurred for badminton. It is also clear that the number of participants in basketball and rugby remained nearly unchanged throughout the given period.
In 1985, almost 250 people took part in rugby, standing out as by far the most preffered sport in the diagram, while tennis had an about 100 lower number of partakers compared to the figure for dominant sport – rugby. However, these figures witnessed reverse trends over the given period: the figure for badminton saw a dramatic decline, being participated by only 50 people in the final year. Tennis, meanwhile, had experienced a marked increase by 2005, becoming the most chosen sport with approximately 220 participants.
As for the sports participating relatively lower number of partakers, there was a 20 disparity in the figure for basketball and badminton in 1985, with dominance of the former. But, both figures remained unchanged for the rest of the period.
