Overall, it is clear that commuting to work by private car increased steadily, while travel by public transport decreased. However, since 2008 there was a slightly grow in public transport popularity and a fall in private car statistic.
Sydney and Melbourne started at the same point by approximately 25% people that used public transport. They were gradially declining and in 2010, Sydney and Melbourne had nearly 20% and 13%. By comparison, Beisbane had bit more percentage than Melbourne, while started by 20%. Adelaide started at slightly higher than 15%, then reached peak in 2002 and finished by 10%, similarly to Perth.
In private car data, Sydney had a biggest figure, but in 2008 there was a little fall, and in 2010, population of private cars in Sydney was approximately 82%. By comparison, Sydney had a lowest figure in statistic and finished the same position, at 70%. Furthermore, Beisbane had a bigger percentage than Melbourne, more than 3%, but throughout years, in 2010 Melbourne had more percentage than Beisban, 77% and 76% respectively. Also, Adelaide was the second city by popularity of private cars, and after 2008, began the first.
