This graph illustrates the comparisin of the water level in six different cities in Australia between October 2009 and October 2010. Overall, most cities exhibited an increase of water level throughout the period, with a notable exception on Darwin and Brisbane where they experienced a decrease and no change, respectively. In comparision, Sydney had the highest wate rlevel in October 2009, while Melbourne had the lowest. In the end of the period, Canberra had the greatest proportion, and Darwin had the lowest.
To start off, the proportion of Sydney’s water level began with below 80%, and continued to show a marginal increase by approximately 1%. Conversely, Melbourne showed a considerable increase from around 20% to precisely 40%. Similarly, Perth and Canberra rose by over 10%. The percentage of Perth’s water level in October 2009, exactly 40%, rose to 65%, whereas Canberra started with below 80% to almost 100%.
In contrast, Darwin’s water level accounted for around 45% of the city, although experienced a substantial decrease to approximately 23% in October 2010. On the other hand, Brisbane showed a consitent trend, where the water level only comprised below 60% of the land.
