The pie charts presents data about the percentage of five age categories people visited from the UK to Spain for the years of 1983 and 2003.
Overall, it is clear from the graphs that the proportion of young ( 0-24 age people) and elderly people (55+) who visited Spain experienced an upward trend, while that for 25-54 age group people decreased throughout the period. Intrestingly, 34-54 age group tourists accounted for the highest proportion in all two years.
Looking at increases first, the rate of children and 16-24 years old people who visited Spain stood at 10% and 4%, respectively ,after which the former increased slightly by 2% in 2003, whereas the latter witnessed dramatic growth to 15%. Similarly, elderly people consist of 16% of all visitors from the UK to Spain in 1983 before rising significantly 26% in the next 20 years.
With regards to deceases, the proportion of visitors who are 25-34 years old people dropped from 20% to 12% throughout the survey. The figure for 34-54 age group people made up half of total visits which reached a peak in all two years, followed by it showed a remarkable decline by 15% in 2003.
