The music albums types purchased by peopel in Britain varies across gender and age group. The graph examines three trypes of music: Classical, Rock, and Pop across the 2 genders and 4 age groups.
According to the graph, all genders and age groups buy almost the same portion of both pop and rock music. Although the vertical axis range differs, if examined carefully it is evident that the precentage of males, for example, who buy pop music is around 28% and the percentage of those who buy rock music is very close at around 26.5%. Consequently that is the case for the rest of the categories.
The music genre with the utterly different results is classical music. The graph refelcts highly different precentages for all categories. The only category to express prefrence of classsical music is elderly, that is people aged above 45. Almost 20% of people older than 45 buy classicla music. That perecentage is relativly high when compared with the other purchasing percentage for pop and rock music which was at around 9% for both categoreis. In the case of males, females, youth aged 16-24, people aged 25-34, and adults aged 35-44 the desire to buy classical music noticbly decreased in comparison to the other muisc types.
For instance, 30% of people aged 16-24 buy pop music and also the same perecntage of this category buys rock music. However, in the case of classical music, that perecenatge drops down to almost 1%. This refelcts a very minimal intrest of young people in calssical music, in fact they are the least categroy that buys classical music followed by 35-44 age group.
