The graphs compared the different type of age groups and genders bought different music albums in Great Britain. Overall, 3 type of music group including; Rock music, Pop music and Classical music are selling people. Pop music and Rock music are famous all age groups and genders, however, only over 45 age group of people listen Classical music.
Firstly, male buy more Pop music albums, compared to female, the percentage of male buy Pop music has around 28%, female around 15%. People who 24-34 years old purchase slightly compared to other age groups. Rock music buyers are also same percentages with Pop music.
In contrast, Classical music appeals more to older audiences. The 45+ age group accounts for the highest percentage, at about 20%. Purchases among the 25-34 age group are slightly above 15%, while younger people (16-24) show little interest, with figures below 5%. Males and females have similar purchasing rates for Classical music, both under 10%.
In summary, younger males dominate the Pop and Rock music markets, whereas Classical music attracts an older audience.
