The 3 bar charts provide information about 3 types of music albums (Pop Music, Rock Music, and Classical Music) bought by the British people by age groups (16 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, and 45 and above) and genders.
Overall, there were more males than females buying music albums, and Pop Music and Rock Music albums were sold more than Classical Music albums.
The sales of music albums among males was around one-third more than the sales among females. The sales percentage of people who bought pop music shares a similar pattern to that of people who bought rock music, with people aged 25 to 34 bought the most music albums, accounting for over 30%. The youngest age group rank second with around 30%. There were only less than 10% of people aged over 45 who purchased pop music and rock music albums.
However, Classical Music albums were sold the most among the oldest age group, with approximately 20% of people. The youngest and the 35-to-44 age group were accounted for less than 5 % sales of Classical Music.
