The graph illustrates the percentage of people unemployed in the US in 2005, and the table shows the average earnings per week of some professional degrees

Overall, the percentage of unemployment rate had a great correlation with the average salary of each degree. The more earnings, the less people were unemployed.

Doctoral and professional degree had the least percentage of people without work, with approximately 1.5%. Moreover, people in these groups received the highest amount of money per week, above 1700 dollars.

There is a intermediate group which includes master’s and bachelor’s degree. This group in comparison with others, had between 1000 and 1600 earning per week and an unemployment rate between 2% and 3%.

People who went to college but with no degree or with a high school diploma or those who lack of high school diploma, had the lowest salary per week in 2005, under a thousand. Furthermore, their percentage of unemployment are above 4% and it surpassed 8% for people who do not have a high school diploma.
