In 1995, the average cost of houses in London were £200000, the figure that then increased dramatically to about £420000. As for England, the average prices of accommodation also went up from approximately £135000 to £201000.
In 2013, the cost of London houses was four times as high as Midland and North east houses, with £400000, £120000, and £100000. The cost of houses located in south east parts of the country was also high with £320000, followed by houses in south west parts with £260000. The cost of houses in north west part of the country, were middle compared to other parts with £200000.
