The maps illustrate the redevelopment that taken place in Toowoomba airport over the span of 3 years between 2005 and 2008.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is clear that a considerable change has taken place. In addition to that, the size of airport has also increased.
In the current year, two helipads from the west of airplane parking has been constructed. Also there was a terminal 1 and parking zone A adjoining the parking zone B where zone A was replaced with terminal 2. Additionally, in the initial year parking capacity of 6 aircrafts had been extended to 10 in 2008. The ATC tower from the east of parking renamed to ATC tower 1-E and another tower ATC tower 1-B was developed. In place of empty space in the Northeast corner, a space for car parking and hotel was allotted.
Furthermore, the taxiway which was closed for maintenance was still under construction with half repairing done. Number of paths leading from aircraft parking to runway undergo zero changes and remained similar. Lastly, to block any kind of interference on the emergency runway, fences alongside the runway was installed.
