The line graph illustrates how much copper was produced in the United States, Australia, Mexico and Russia during 20 years from 2000 to 2020 and how the production gradually changed.
According to the figures, the production of copper was by far the highest in the United States, with approximately 800,000 tons in 2000. At the same time the production of copper was slightly smaller in Mexico and Russia in similar amount (nearly 500,000-600,000 tons), whereas it was at the lowest point in Australia at about 300,000 tons.
Over the next 20 years the amount of copper produced in the United States hit the highest point at 1,200,000 tones. There is a dramatic increase of production in Australia, by 2020 it tripled from 300,000 to 1,100,000 tons. On the contrary, the number of tons of copper in Russia showed a downward trend, it dropped to 400,000 tons. It should be noted that the situation with production of copper in Mexico remained stable over the period.
Overall, it is clear that the production of copper in the United States grew steadily and Australia showed dramatical increase while other countries had either a period of stability or declined.
