The line graph compares the number of international students enrolled in four Australian universities between 2000 and 2015. Units are measured in number of students.
Overall, all universities witnessed an upward trend, though to varying degrees. Of particular note is University A, which far outstripped the others, emerging as the dominant institution throughout the period.
In 2000, University B recorded around 3,000 international students. This figure rose steadily, reaching 9,000 by 2015. Universities C and D followed a similar upward path, albeit at lower levels. Starting from approximately 1,000 and 600 students respectively, both experienced marked growth, finishing at about 6,000 and 3,000 students in 2015.
By contrast, University A displayed a dramatic surge. Its enrollment rose gradually from 2,000 in 2000 to 3,000 in 2004, before soaring sharply to a peak of 16,000 in 2013, where it then leveled off through to the end of the period.
