In contrast, landline usage remained largely stable, while internet services increased gradually. Mobile and fixed broadband services followed similar patterns, remaining negligible in the early years before rising to comparable levels by the end of the period.
Cellular phone usage started at approximately 5 units and increased steadily each year, reaching a peak of around 60 units in 2008, making it the dominant service by a considerable margin. By comparison, landline services showed minimal variation, fluctuating consistently between 10 and 20 units over the entire period.
Internet usage rose slowly at first but experienced a noticeable acceleration after 2004, doubling from about 10 units to approximately 20 by 2008. Meanwhile, both mobile and fixed broadband services remained at zero during the first three years. Fixed broadband saw a modest increase in 2004, followed by mobile broadband in 2006, and by 2008 both services converged at the same level.
