The line graph illustrates data on carbon dioxide produced by the car in England and Wales from 2000 to 2020. On the other hand, the bar chart provides information about the amount of CO₂ which was released by four types of vehicles (cars, buses, vans and trucks) over a 20-year period, starting in 2000. Units are measured by million tonnes.
Overall, it can be observed that the car CO₂ emission showed an upward figure whereas the bus saw a fluctuation.
In detail about the line graphs, the emission of CO₂ in cars stood at 20 million tonnes in 2000. However, from 2005 to 2010, this figure slowly increased to about 32 million tonnes. But car CO₂ emissions went up by 60 million tonnes in 2020.
On the one hand, the bar graphs, the amount of CO₂ emission in cars and trucks climbed up similarly and peaked at 3 and 1.5 million tonnes. Moreover, buses and vans were seen a rising trend to about 0.4 and 0.6 million tonnes by 2010. The next year (2020), vans emissions of CO₂ remained steady but buses boomed around 1.3 million tonnes.
