The line graph presents the proportion of households in a country wwith Internet access over the period between 2000 and 2019.
In general, there was a sharp increase in the rate of households enjoying Internet connectivity throughout the two decades. While growth was particularly rapid before 2015, it levelled off afterwards.
In 2000, the rate of households that had Internet access stood at just 10%, Therefore, the figure quadrupled to 40% by 2005, representing a dramatic rise. Between 2005 and 2010, the upward trend continued with the rate reaching 60% by the end of the decade.
From 2010 to 2015, it is evident that the proportion of families connected to the Internet climbed significantly from 60% to 90%. After reaching 90%, the figure maintained relatively stable at around 92% during the following years.
