The line graph shows the percentage of Southeast Asian immigrants to the UK who entered the country using fout different types of visas between 2008 and 2020.

Overall all visa categories experienced some changes over the period. Family and work visas showed an overall upward trend while Student and Medical visas fluctuated.

In 2018 the work permit was the most common visa type accounting for about 60%. However this figure fell to around 40% in 2020 before increasing steadly approximatly 70% by 2024. A similar trend can seen for family visas, which increasing from roughly 40% in 2018 to nearly 80% at the end of the period, making it the most popular visa type in 2024.

Students visas started at about 50% in 2018 and declined to 35% in 2020. They then piaked at around 65% in 2022 before dropping slightly to 55% in 2024. Medical visas were the least common overall, decreasing from 30% to 15% in 2020, then rising to 50% in 2022, and finally falling gain to 40% in 2024
