The line graph provided illustrates the proportion of visitors to four differents tourist attractions: aquarium, castle, zoo, and festival in Edinburg , Scotland.
Overall, throughout the 30-year-period, the percentage of tourists visiting the castle and zoo displayed a rising trend whilst the figures declined for aquarium and festival.
Between 1980 and 1995, the percentage of tourist visiting the castle experienced a continual rise from 25%, and peaking at almost 45%; however, it slowly declined to just above 30% in the following two decades. In the meantime, the figure for zoo fluctuated about 10% for 20 years between 1980 and 2000 before rising, and peaking at double its original value at the end of the period.
At the same time, the proportion of visitors going to festival experienced a slight decrease from 30% to just above 25% between 1980 and 2000 before it remained stable until the end of the period. Moreover, the number for aquarium surged from 20% to 35% in the first half of the decade before it dipped back to its original value in 1990 before it descended to its lowest value of 8% at the end of the period.
