From an overall perspective, there were similar fluctuations in both the prices of gasoline and diesel oil, with gasoline being more expensive throughout the period. In addition, both types of fuel reached their peaks in April.
The price of RON 95 gasoline stood at roughly 22000 vnd/l in January, after which it witnessed a significant rise to about 24000 vnd/l on February 1st, before fluctuating around 2300 for the following 2 months. The figure by RON 95 reached its highest point at approximately 25000 vnd/l in mid-April. Similar changes can be observed in the cost of diesel oil, starting at a mere 18000 vnd/l, it experienced a remarkable rise of almost 4000 vnd/l, after which it fluctuated around 21000 vnd/l for the next 8 weeks, before reaching a peak of nearly 22000 vnd/l in mid-April.
From April 25th the figures for RON is gasoline witnessed a significant decline to 22000 vnd/l on Jun 6th, after which it recovered to almost 24000 vnd/l by the next month, before ending the period at approximately 19000 vnd/l. The price of diesel oil saw similar changes, from late April, there was a dramatic decrease to roughly 17000, after which it climbed up to 21000 vnd/l on July 4th, followed by a final drop to 15000 vnd/l by the end of the time frame.
