The line graph presents the amount (in litres) of four beverages — coffee, tea, soft drinks and juice — consumed, per person per year between 1990 and 2010.
Overall, soft drinks experienced a high rise consistently across these years, while juice was less preferred and the figures remained considerably lower. In addition, tea was subject to significant decline whereas figures for coffee fluctuated.
The consumption of soft drinks rapidly increased from 80 – 100 litres (in 1990) to approximately 180 litres per person (in 2010) . In contrast, the figures for tea significantly reduced from around 120 litres (in 1990) to around 100 litres (in 2010).
On the other hand, juice was much less preferred, starting the consumption from below 80 litres (in 1990), increased slightly above 80 uptil 2005 and then dropped later. Whilst, coffee experienced fluctuations in the trend, starting from 140 litres (in 1990), rising to above 160 (in 1995) and then declining back to around 140 (in 2010).
