The chart below shows the statistic of whole spending in a certan European country from 1960 to 2000. Overall, the figure for food and leisure declined significantly, while that of clothing increased slightly. It is also evident that the expenses of transportation and energy decreased slightly.
The figure for food followed a downward trajectory. It began the period with 33 %. Afterwards, food products decreased significantly to 20 % in 1990 before settling at 16% by end of the term.The percentage of food showed similar pattern. It started the period at 20 % and , after that went down slightly to 15 % in 1960. Then. costs of recreation finished the period at 12 % . The proportion of transport and energy started at 10 % and 5 % in 1960 ,respectively. In the middle of period transportation rate declined to 8% and that of energy to 3 %. They finished the period with 5 % and 1 %.
In contrast , the level of clothing outlay was 8 %, initially , then rose gradually. In 1980 , total of expenditure reached 14 % , before increasing a high of 15 % in 2000.
