The line graph shows smoking rates of males and females in the Someland from 1960 to 2000. The rates are measured per 1000 peoples.
Overall, there were less number of female smokers than male smokers, in the beginning. This number almost levelled out at the end.
In 1960, there were about 600 male smokers in Someland, however a slight deduction can be seen in a decade (550). From 1970, the number of men who smokes started to decrease, 500 in 1980 and 400 in 1985. Aster 1990, a sudden decline was there in the count of male smokers, reached roughly 250 in 2000.
Whereas, the trend of women who smokes was exactly opposite to men. It started near 100 women and rose to 200 women in 1970, but the numbers boomed above 300 female’s smokers in the next five years. This count almost remained steady until 1980; after that, a significant dip can be observed in the number of women who smokes. At the end, there were about 250 females smokers in the Someland.
