Overall, it is noticeable that the number of smoking men decreased significantly while that for the number of women who smoke cigarettes increased throughout the given period. It is also worth mentioning that the amount of males who smoke were much higher in the beginning.
In 1960, the highest rate was recorded by 600 males, whereas the lowest figures could be observed in the same year by almost 100 females. But women reached high of smoking levels, just over 300. Then they experienced a slight decrease in cigarette use in 2000, standing at 200, and males nearly levelled off with them.
