The line graph illustrates data on how many people participated in five types of activities at one social center in Melbourne, Australia, between 2000 and 2020.
Overall, three activities—film club, table tennis, and musical performances—experienced an increase in participation, while there was a reverse trend for amateur dramatics. It is also clear that the film club was the most favored activity for most of the period.
In 2000, the number of people who took part in the film club was highest, with 65 at the beginning of the given period. The figures for table tennis and musical performances were notably lower at around 15 and 0, respectively. The former saw a slight decrease to 12 in 2010; this was followed by a sharp increase, reaching 50 in 2020. Meanwhile, there was a dramatic rise to 13 in participation for musical performances. By contrast, the film club experienced a minimal decline to 60 during the following years; however, there was an increase back to 65 by the end of the period. This figure remained the highest compared to others.
Similarly, in 2000, the number of participants who chose amateur dramatics stood at 25; this figure rose to 30 in 2005 after which it experienced a three-fold decrease over the given period. Material arts witnessed fluctuations between 35 and 30 during this time as well; however, there was no change compared to both the beginning and ending periods.
