Overall, it is evident that the percentage of female students who studied in Norway increased significantly overe the period, while the proportion of male pupils who continued their secondary education in spain fluctuated over the time.
Looking at the data in more detail, the highest percentage of female students continued their secondary education in Norway from 90% in 1996 to almost 100% in 2003. However, the proportion of female students in Italy fluctuated over the period. The female learners in Uk saw a substantial surge from 65% in 1996 to 85% in 2000, and then remained stable in the last year.Meanwhile, the pupils in Spain accounted for a slight percentage from nearly 67% 1996 to 75% in 2003.
For the remaining data, the percentage of students who continued their secondary education in Norway at 90% in 1996. This figure climbed to 100% in 2002, and then declined dramatically to almost 91% in 2003. By contrast, there was a moderate percentage of students continue their secondary education in Italy and Spain, from almost 57% and 52% in 1996 to approximately 64% and 57% in 2003, respectively. However, UK had the second highest percentage, also around 65% in 1996, which climbed steadily to 85% in the final year.
