The line graph illustrates the percentage of various genders the age of 18 who went to secondary school from 1996 to 2003.
Overall, in Norway both genders were a high percentage who continued their education. However, female young people’s percentage was higher than male in Italy and Spain.
In Norway, female and male people began the same 90 per cent in 1996 and in all periods do not have significant changes, however from 2002 to 2003 year male people’s percentage declined under 90 per cent when female percentage stayed unchanged. In 1996 female and male individuals’ percentage began from 65 per cent and female’s proportion rapidly rose until 2000, then remained at 80 per cent and male’s increase was with fluctuation by finishing the same share as female.
From 1996 to 2003 in Italy the proportion of females began 70 per cent by continuing without significant changes, finished just above 70 per cent and the same country for male started about 57 per cent. In Spain male proportion of males who continued education was the lowest in comparison with other countries, starting under 56 per cent from 1998 to 2000 fluctuated and at the end of the period was under 57 per cent. Women began over 67 per cent and in 2002 went up until 70 per cent finished by this share.
