The graph illustrates the percentage of exporting clothes in totals of four distinct countries namely: China, European Union, Asia (not including China) and USA over a fifteen-year period, from the year 200 to 2014.
Overall, the proportion of exporting clothes in China was recorded at the highest while the trend for Asian countries (not including China) fluctuated throughout the timeframe. In addition, the clothing exporting percentage of the EU and USA saw a significant decrease.
Regarding the exporting proportion of clothes in China, it started with 14% in the year 2000 and rose dramatically to over 35% at the end of the end of the period. The highest percentage of clothing exports belonged to China. The starting point of Asian countries (without China) at 30% and then witnessed a significant drop to 17% in the next two years. It fluctuated in the next eight years and started to rise to 20% in 2014.
In terms of the EU’s ratio, it was recorded at 33% at the beginning and dropped significantly to 21% in the end. The trend was similar to the USA, but the clothes’ percentage ended at 6%, it was also the lowest rank compared to three given countries.
