Overall, it is clear that Japan, France and German saw a fluctuations, while the USA stayed relatively stable over the period. Another interesting point is that Japan had the highest price during the whole year and the USA had lowest price on bananas.
In terms of Japanese, started with 2 per kg price for bananas in 1996. There was a gradual increase in the figure for Japanese, reaching 3 per kg in 1998. Despite, increasing gradually the price of bananas declined to 2 per kg in 1999 and fluctuated from 1999 to 2002. After that, the figure decreased slightly to 1.5 per kg and in 2004 reached 2 per kg. The price in France from 2 per kg fell to 1.5 per kg in 1999 and experienced ups and downs, as well as in 2004, reached to 2 per kg.
For Germany, the prices commenced at 1.5 per kg and rose dramatically to nearly 2.5 per kg. Then dropped to about 1 per kg in 1999. In 2004, the price of bananas were 1.5 per kg. The USA had the price at 1 per kg and slowly increased approximately 1.3 per kg in 2004.
