The given line graph illustrates the three varities of crime did in England and Wales in between 1970 and 2005.Overall, there was upward trend in all three types of crime. Car theft was maximum committed crime in both countries.
To begine with, car theft and house burglary had parallel trendline from 1970 to 1980. In 1970, there was 0.4 million car theft crime while 0.2 million of house burglary both, the cases rose to 0.8 million and 0.6 million respectively in 1980. After that were constant numbers of crime in home burglary till 1985. Meanwhile, car theft crime increase constantly and reach to 1.4 million in 1990. there was sudden acceleration in car crime in next 5 year and stop at 1.6 million. Afterwards the crime reaches to 1 million again in 2005. Also, after some fluctuations house burglary cases also reach to 0.5 million in 2005.
Street robberies were very few from 1970 to 1990 and then increased to 0.2 million in 2000 and remained stable till 2005.
To conclude, reported cases of car theft were on the top while, street robbery cases were minimum in the given period of 35 years.
