Overall, the information presented in the first graph indicate that in both UK and India the mobile phone subscription numbers have not changed throughout the whole period, while in Uruguay and Eritrea these numbers rose steadily. The second graph shows that all of the 4 countries’ telephone subscription figures remained stable from the start until the end of the period.
From 2005 to 2013, the trend for Uruguay’s mobile phone subscribers experienced a steady increase, rising from around 40% in 2005 to just above 150% in 2013. Similarly, India’s figures increased gradually by approximately 70 more mobile phone subscribers per 100 individuals in 2015 than in 2005.
From 2005 to 2015, the amount of telephone subscribers remained steady in all countries. However, the two countries with the lowest trend were Eritrea and India, with India staying at almost 5% of telephone subscribers and Eritrea at around 1%. The country with the highest telephone subscription numbers was the UK at just under 60 subscribers per 100 people, while the second highest country is Uruguay remaining at just above 30 telephone subscribers per 100 individuals
