In 2005, there was a main road running from east to west across the center of Islip. The road was surrounded by two rows of stores. Rural area was in the north of the town, while in the south, there were two parallel housing areas. A school was located to the left-hand side of the residential area, whereas a park was located on the right. To get to this area, residents need to follow a side road connect to the main road.
In 2010, the appearance of dual higway was the most considerable change, it surrounded the centre area and the main road was replaced by a car-free area. The shop in the north of the map was demolished make way for a bus stop, a shopping mall, and a car park. Moreover, a new housing was constructed, connect to the divided highway with a second route.
