Overall, Nelson has transitioned from simple small town where people lived on lack of many facilities into a big city with all facilities. Although, certain construction, such as the university, port and the main road, have remained untouched, much of the city has been developed and modified.
According to the maps, we can witness that the old market modified to new shop, also the old train station removed and built new station nearly and added many facilities such as hall of residence,bike rental schme, tramline,new shopping centre,, restaurant,new covered market,bars and clubs.
However,there is a thing which remain significantly changed for example university,port and main road.
