The maps illustrate the changes implemented at a zoo in Australia from 1960 to the present day.
Overall, the zoo underwent a major redevelopment where two new entrances, one ferry, and one 2-way cafe car has been introduced. Subsequently, few spots swaped their position with each other, while harbour, picnic area, and walkways remained unchanged still today.
In 1960, the place for Africian animals and Australian animals used to be on the west side from main walkway. On the opposite side, there were two walkways, one directed towards to the place for birds and seal show, while another directed to chimpanzees. The harbour was situated in north side throughout the whole zoo. Gift shop was in the south close to the main walkway while picnic area was on the east side of the zoo.
Today, after major development, the zoo introduced 2 new entrances, where one at the starting of main walkway and another leads visitors towards a newly added ferry on harbour at the north. A place for wild animals is introduced replacing African animals position. Chimpanzees place is being removed and now replaced with African animals and seal show. Previous seal show walkway path now leads to the one end of the cafe car, while another end is situated in the east side of gift shop. The gift shop now upgraded into 2 floors, while the whole picnic area along with benches and tress remained same.
