The maps illustrate some potential changes that were made to the waterfront area of a town called Darwin from 2009 to 2014.
Generally, it is obvious that the waterfront area experienced several remarkable developments, with the most noticeable being the expansion of forest and residential areas and the erection of a few new amenities.
Looking at the first map, in 2009, there was a lake located in the center of the building. To the south of the lake was some areas of residential buildings and industrial areas. Additionally, there was a convention center built in the north of the map, next to a school in the northwest. Moreover, there were two swimming pools beside a fishing area and the footpath which led to the sea.
In 2014, there were three more residential blocks added. Furthermore, the industrial area in the south was replaced by forests and a university building. Meanwhile, the another industrial area in the circle was demolished to make way for a new swimming pool. Particularly, Darwin had more a footpath which ran from west to east, connected to a newly built harbour. The rest of the far town remained unchanged.
