The two maps depict the changes that happened to the village of Ryemouth in two distinguished years, 1995 and 2024.
Overall, a farmland, a forest park, fish markets, shops, were discarded from the map. Therefore, houses, a golf park, apartments, restaurants, a car park beside a hotel, a fishing port, and a tennis court were added into the map.
Firstly, in the former year, there were twelve houses on the west side of the farmland. In the latter year, there were built sixteen houses and a new road. Substantial changes happened to the farmland and the forest park. In the present year, they have been turned into a golf park and tennis court. Shops that were located in the south of the housing had changed into restaurants. In 2024, a car park was built on the east side of a hotel. In 1995, the fish markets that were placed across the shops, had been replaced by the apartments 29 years later. Near the apartments, there were built a fishing port.
In contrast, the location of the sea, hotel, café, houses remained unchanged throughout the period.
